Alpaca Wool Blanket (2 Available)
Made in the high Andean valleys of northern Ecuador from alpaca wool, these blankets are surprisingly warm for their thickness. Alpacas are relatives of the camel, and were derived from domesticated llamas in the high Andes, which were themselves domesticated from the wild guanaco. The vibrant colors and linear patterns in these blankets evince those found in ancient hand loomed textiles from this region.
