Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing
Join Project Sentinel and the Sacramento Housing Alliance on May 19th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm to learn all about the new Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing rule. Catherine Bonanno, Fair Housing Coordinator at Project Sentinel, will provide an in-depth look at what HUD’s new rule means for building fair and affordable housing.
Find out how federal HUD funding recipients must go beyond preventing and prohibiting discrimination to “take the type of actions that undo historic patterns of segregation and other types of discrimination and afford access to opportunity that has long been denied.” How might this affect housing development in the Sacramento area? How can Sacramento residents and advocates contribute their knowledge to inform fair housing data? How can Sacramento become a more inclusive community? Get answers to these questions and more.
Feel free to bring your own lunch or, if you would like for us to order you a lunch, please select that option during registration.
