Sacramento City Council to discuss affordable housing at August 14 workshop
On Tuesday, August 14th, the Sacramento City Council will convene a special workshop focused on finding ways to increase the supply of affordable housing.
At this workshop, council members will examine possible funding sources that could bolster the city’s Housing Trust Fund, which now has just $2.5 million, or enough to build about 15 units. Staff will also present ideas for how to speed the construction of more affordable housing by reducing parking requirements, expediting project reviews, waiving fees, and other steps.
Attend this workshop to demonstrate support for policies that will increase the production of affordable housing.
It is important that CAA members be present in large numbers to support increasing housing supply as the alternative to rent control.
WHAT: Affordable Housing Workshop
WHERE: City Hall – Council Chambers: 915 I St, Sacramento, CA 95814
