Come visit our Fishhead Lake mitigation wetlands as we look for waterfowl and other wetland birds and mammals. Hundreds of thousands of migrating ducks and geese fly into the Sacramento region each fall. Our small wetland is an important place for waterfowl to rest and forage. We typically see northern pintail, American wigeon, green-winged teal, mallards, northern shovelers, gadwall, and a host of other water birds.

The meeting location is weather-dependent, so please contact Roger Jones at (916) 875-9174 or jonesro [at] sacsewer [dot] com to confirm your reservation and meeting location. Please note, we can only take reservations the week preceding the event.

No Pets, Please! For all Bufferlands events, we respectfully request that you please leave your dogs and other pets at home.
