The Allies were created by Black Lives Matter Sacramento in order to support the ongoing needs of the chapter. This will be our first open meeting. If you are interested in Black liberation and in building strong communities to make systems of oppression that govern and control obsolete, then this meeting is a good fit for you.

This group has and will always followed the leadership of Black Lives Matter Sacramento. We are focusing on some very important needs for the chapter right now, such as:
– fundraising
– showing up and assisting at actions
– mobilization for actions, cop-watching, or any other rapid response needs
– admin help, event help, planning help
– and more

Children of all ages are welcome.

Both the meeting room and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. There are chairs without arms that are able to accommodate pregnant people, fat people, and people with children on their laps. There is no single stall or gender neutral restroom. Let’s try to maintain a scent free environment for those with sensitivities.

Event updates to be posted as they become available. Kids are welcome. Feel free to bring a light snack or beverages to share.
