Join us in Sacramento for the Community Unity Gathering – bringing together regional social justice movements.
Join us to learn from, and get involved with groups working on indigenous rights, racial justice, LGBTQ issues, homelessness and poverty, climate justice and immigrant rights and more.
There will be story-telling, singing and dancing. The climate movement will bring a large art installation of oil derricks and pumpjacks, turning the capitol grounds into an oil field, and a large canvas mural for all to pitch in painting. We are seeking “end-dependence” from fossil fuels and highlight the need for Biden and Newsom to stop issuing permits for oil and gas drilling and infrastructure.
Please join us from Noon until 4pm – on the West Steps of the Sacramento Capitol (off L Street, between 10th and 12th)
Co-Sponsoring groups include:
Oil and Gas Action Network | Women With Bows | EMPACT | Last Chance Alliance | 350 Sacramento | Mothers Rebellion | Harm Reduction Services | Xa Kako Dile | Sacramento Homeless Union | Camp Resolution | Sac SOUP | Decarcerate Sacramento | MMIW Femicide | Sac Rad EDU | Punks with Lunch
All the Sacramento community and beyond are welcome.
