With the deadly West Nile virus season heating up, state and local health officials are again battling the disease with an unusual arsenal of tiny fish, dead birds and plump chickens.
That trio, part of a years-long, multipronged approach to squashing West Nile, helps health officials identify the mosquito “hot spots” that need ground or aerial spraying.

Our goal: a video of how large we really are to share with the Secretary Jewell at the Department of the Interior and with President Obama. You can be provided with insightful questions to ask if you’d like or help you craft your own thoughts. Some spirited, yet respectful activities are being planned to transform their dull open house into a party to oppose the tunnels. Let’s win this thing once and for all! We need to pack the “public hearings” on the Delta Tunnels!!

Breeding waterfowl populations have suffered a 19 percent drop in the Sacramento Valley this year and a steeper decline statewide due to the drought and poor habitat conditions, according to the latest annual survey released by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
